Chloe said after the Qualifying round:

“I am the youngest driver by over a year on the grid and starting the season I was 15 years old with just 5 test days in a car under my belt. Straight into the season I knew I had to catch up with my well seasoned competitors pretty fast.

The fair expectation was always to be behind, however, we proved from the first official test in Barcelona that I wasn’t here to mess around. The pace was very much there, bagging a P2 in testing at the first round!

Dealing with race weekends and other things out of my control, also media was such a big step out of my comfort zone for me that maybe it phased me a lot through this year. It feels like a real age of maturing to see where I’ve come as a person to be here today🙂

The job isn’t done yet- let’s give it our all tomorrow starting with a P7 grid slot for race one!

F1 Academy Bio:

After three years of competing in karts in the UK, Chloe Chong steps up to car racing in 2023 with PREMA Racing in F1 Academy. A finalist of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission’s Girls on Track Rising Stars scheme, Chong impressed the Ferrari Driver Academy during the Italian programme’s scouting in 2021.

In 2023 we are delighted to continue into or 5th consecutive year in this fun partnership. Jo had a fantastic 2022 campaign resulting in 4th place in the Championships and was awarded Most Improved Driver.

Jo has been the best PETROLHEAD Perfume Ambassador I could have wished for and she and the team are great to be involved with.

Jo particularly embodies the essence of why I designed PETROLHEAD Perfume in the beginning and she has been so generous in her approach to her racing and sponsors. Over the time we have developed a sincere friendship as well as a partnership.

Mini racing provides many thrills and spills and is such fun to watch – they are proper little pocket rockets! Like bumper cars on speed!

The last few years have been tough for the sport with spectators bannedfrom many races during the pandemic but as in every part of life, technology stepped up and where the racing happened, the streaming started and the action was captured for all to see. This has continued even when spectators were allowed back to the track which means if you can’t get to the races you can still watch and be part of the action.

The BWRDC Gold Star Awards is an initiative to promote talented women in motorsport. There are now 3 categories - Senior, Junior and Volunteer . The awards are annual but are only awarded if the calibre of recipient is high enough.

We have collaborated with Lee Duncan of E Team Hard Racing to spread the PETROLHEAD perfume love wider into the Sim racing world.

As we say PETROLHEAD perfume is for all Petrolheads and we are keen to make it the goto perfume for ALL racing enthusiasts.

E Team Hard Racing are now working with many of the Formula Women applicants getting in some training ahead of the 2023 selections .I love the synergy between the virtual and real worlds .And another example that motorsport, real or virtual , is where men and women can compete together.

In April 2022 we teamed up with Laura Cooledge and Laura Christmas aka Team Laura for their participation in the Clacton & Tendring Rally.

Tam Laura drove the 14 stage event over two-days, across the surrounding lanes and villages in the Tendring and Clacton area. The event became the first rally in England to use the new ‘closed roads’ legislation in England in 2018 and in 2022, the rally went deep into the heart of the community, by having a seafront stage in Clacton on Saturday evening. The rally is an annual event as is also a round of the prestigious British Rally Championship. It is watched by thousands of spectators.
